Event Review (ShepCon 2022)

Great as per usual.

ShepCon is always encouraging. This is my third time going, so the novelty is completely gone, which isn’t a bad thing. I had a bit of sour throat and coughed sometimes so I decided to stay in the overflow room, which again isn’t really a problem once you gone to the conference a few times already.

Because I was under the weather, my brain wasn’t fully there the entire time. I did make some connections, but unfortunately was tired most of the time. I enjoyed Paul Twiss’s sermon on the ascension of Christ. I also enjoyed the breakout session on God and Government.

I purchased quite a few books. Books by Vos, some Beale, and various others. I was exited that Typology by Hamilton was there but I believe it was available on the last day of the conference, as was The Old Testament use of the Old Testament.

The biggest thing I now enjoy about the conference is the Christian fellowship. I aspire to be an elder, and am currently a youth leader. I just love being around so like minded people. Made a connection with a student at TMS who is interested in Van Til and old Dutch dudes.

I’m thinking about what to write now. I just didn’t learn as much as I’d thought I would. I think it was because I was wasn’t feeling well. It’s really a bummer. But until next. I plan on going to the big Puritan conference. Literally bought the tickets at the food trucks on like Thursday
 night.
